This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Well, I found out something the other day I'd completely forgotten:
I didn't realise you went to St Joseph's before you lived in ... exactly where eludes me. Apparently you were in the year above me and Ed, and your little brother was in our year... Neither of which are things that I remember, but I have an explanation for not remembering Greg.
I got bumped up a year in year 2.
So if you remember two little girls who were in your year before you left who really should have been in the year below, and who were probably highly irritating, that was me and Isobel.
Of course, that doesn't explain why I don't remember you either, but hey, I have a bad memory.
So yeah. You find out something new every day.

When life gives you lemons, make apple juice. Then sit back and watch the world wonder how you did it. While enjoying your drink of course.
You're welcome, and thank you. But, respectfully, I disagree. I think that your long/thoughtful comments and potentially some of our conversations lure visitors to your page who wonder who you are, and then your drawings speak for themselves. You know the laws of dA nature!
Seems I do, doesn't it? But also in some odd kind of way I now feel like a bit of a narcissist for having filled your page with my ramblings!
I have a habit of answering commentslike I would answer a letter, because I don't think most people's comments are often very helpful beyond simple encouragement I suppose. But you're right, we're all artists here and I guess by default that means we're all deep thinkers to a degree, because as an artist you look to represent something you don't fully understand to get to know it better. And of course, when I say artist I also mean photographer, author, actor etc. Critics do it too, but more explicitly. Then again I bet you'd explain this better than I could- as I say I have a tendency to overcomplicate
Plus, this is good practice for me too, you know, should I want to explain or pool my thoughts with other peoples. For me that's definitely a skill worth having.

"and you can just change who you are that easily?"
"I change what I do that easily. It's almost the same thing."
*Punches your shoulder.* No, no, no! No narcissism in it unless gaining attention was your initial intent. Besides, now we can fill your page with conversation. Unless you'd prefer not...?
Letter-like comments and brainstorming are definitely good habits. There are several tutorials on commenting floating around here that advocate both as effective strategies. I wish I could find some of them to link, but they seem to be hiding at the moment.
...you changed your "signature" line. And I'll be darned if it doesn't describe me, too. This similar sentiment thing is getting almost silly! (American connotation to "silly," not British connotation.)
Not too bad, not bad at all. Greg's just bought the orange box on steam, but he has to use my external storage space to play it and I'm on study leave now anyway, so I spend some of my time in city 17, but most of my time here making characteristically long comments and gazing at people's artwork.
Your (ex?) seems pretty well established on here btw. Thanks for telling her about my stuff .

Keep up the great pencil work. It's neat to see the attention to detail in your pieces.

well it wouldn't be you without your critical and interesting points of view.
My ex is correct, and it was no problem.
